In so many ways, we are growing!

Our farming season is off to a good start and row crops are sizing up. To date, we've sold 3/4 tons of spinach alone and much more is on the way.

But, we're also growing as a business. For about a year, we've been drafting and refining business plans to help shape a scale-up of our business and things are finally coming to fruition. We can't thank enough those who have helped and supported us along the way.   Really.  Thank you.

We've always been committed to a mixed operation of livestock and produce. It adds a few layers (or more!) of complexity but that's how farmers of yore maintained their soil fertility and vitality and the closer we can come to closing the resource loop on our farm, the more satisfying the work is to us.

In staying true to that model, we've expanded both our row crop and livestock production by 100% each. In addition, we are starting a second business--poultry processing. Once completed, we'll be able to process birds, fowl, and hare for ourselves and others.

No doubt, we are burning the midnight oil to have this new WSDA approved facility up and running by mid June but things are looking hopefully optimistic. Our fancy new plucker and other equipment showed up last week by surprise which gave us reason to hope. We'll keep you posted on our progress.  For now, some photo sneak peeks.

A little slice of our life right now.
